Ingredients for the Dough:
- 300 g wheat flour (Type 405)
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 180 ml warm water
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Filling Suggestions (optional):
- Steamed vegetables with soy sauce
- Minced meat with onions and spices
- Chopped mushrooms and spring onions
Preparation:
- Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water, and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Combine flour and salt in a bowl, add the yeast mixture and oil, and knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
- Divide the dough into equal pieces and lightly roll them out.
- Top with a filling of your choice or leave plain.
- Place each piece into the maker, press down – perfectly shaped!
- Steam the buns for 15–20 minutes over boiling water.
- Serve warm – perfect with soups or as a snack.
Tip: For sweet buns, just add some vanilla and extra sugar to the dough and fill with jam!
